Promoting diversity and inclusion in sustainable business admidst a digital era

On October 26th, 2022, Traphaco Joint Stock Company attended and was a guest speaker in the symposium "Promoting diversity and inclusion in sustainable business admidst a digital era" organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VCCI-VBCSD). The program is part of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development Forum (VCSF) 2022.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mrs. Doan Thi Mai Huong, Vice President of VBCSD said: Promoting diversity and inclusion in sustainable business in the digital age is not only a new trend, but also a very important factor. It is also an urgent requirement for business leaders when building corporate culture and formulating a sustainable business development strategy.

At the seminar "Inclusive business admidst a digital era: Leaving no one behind", Mrs. Dao Thuy Ha – Chief Operating Officer, representative of Traphaco participated and shared about the business model of overarching business of the company, as well as about the GreenPlan project.
During 50 years of building and developing (1972-2022), Traphaco boldly chose and persevered with its own path when pioneering in the "revolution of traditional medicines". To maintain its No. 1 position in Oriental Medicine, Traphaco pioneered the development of clean medicinal herbs with the GreenPlan project. Traphaco created a 4-houses linkage model (an overarching economic model) including: the state (government) - farmers - scientists - enterprises, to take advantage of many resources, capabilities, and knowledge. parties to develop clean medicinal areas according to GACP-WHO international standards.

The project brings a lot of value to Traphaco and the community, first of all, the company is self-sufficient in raw materials to produce both output and quality, thereby ensuring the quality of medicines to the market. Not only that, the project also has a positive impact on disadvantaged communities, creating jobs, sustainable poverty eradication, and raising incomes for ethnic minority communities in many localities (Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Phu Yen...); create opportunities for their children to go to school, reduce child labor. The training and guidance help them gain more skills and knowledge, expand their thinking, access new technology, and support their other activities.
