Each tablet contains:

Acyclovir ............... 200 mg

Excipients ... q.s ... 1 tablet

- Treatment of Herpes simplex virus infections of the skin, mucosa including primary and recurrent genital Herpes, suppression of herpes simplex relapses in normimmuno patient, prophylaxis herpes simplex infection in immuno deficient patient.

- Treatment of Herpes zoster virus infection (Zona disease).

* Usual dose:

- For treatment of primary Herpes simplex infection: oral 1 tablet each time, 5 times daily at approximately 4 – hourly intervals.

- For suppression of recurrent Herpes simplex virus in adult with normimmune: oral 1 tablet each time, 3 times daily, 8 – hourly intervals.

- For treatment of Herpes zoster infection (Zona disease): oral 4 tablets each time, 5 times daily at approximately 4 – hourly intervals.

* Renal failure: The dose should be reduced to the following: 200 mg every 12 hours for herpes simplex infection and 800 mg every 12 hours for variella – zoster infections.

* Elderly: Should supply more water when using high dose of Acyclovir.

* Children:

In the treatment and prophylaxis of herpes simplex infections:

- children ³ 2 years old should be given adult dosages

- children < 2 years old should be given ½ of the adult dose.

- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of this medicine.

- Precaution for pregnant and breast – feeding women.
