Laborers Conference in TRAPHACO

The world economic crisis and increasing inflation of the Vietnam economy in 2008 has brought many difficulties to enterprises in general and TRAPHACO in particular. By the end of 2008, the total turnover of TRAPHACO reached over VND 819 billion, increasing by 45% compared to the same period of 2007 and surpassing the target 24%. In which, the turnover obtained from TRAPHACO products was VND 427 billion, helping retain the stable growth rate of nearly 30%. In terms of profit, profit after tax has been raised by 20% compared to that of last year and has fulfilled the target.

Exceeding the business and production target of 2008 is seen as a big success and great efforts of all staffs and workers of TRAPHACO.

In 2008, unstable market and continuous rise in price of imported raw material has caused a number of enterprises falling into difficult circumstance. TRAPHACO, as the leading enterprise operating in the field of oriental medicine, has been initiatively in utilizing local raw material. In order not to rely on the imported raw material, TRAPHACO has cooperated with local partners to set up clean herbal raw material sources which contribute to stabilize the price, quantity and quality of input raw material. TRAPHACO is the only one enterprise who can hold the initiative of local raw material of 85%.

In the context of inflation, TRAPHACO has effectively promoted management activities, applying slogan of “saving and preventing wastefulness”. TRAPHACO has applied the most advanced management systems in the world and in the region such as ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004, 5S management tools; applied good practices of WHO in production (GMP), in controlling medicines (GLP), reserving (GSP) and distributing medicines (GDP).

TRAPHACO has also gone ahead in researching and processing high quality products. With investments in carrying out successfully scientific researches and local and foreign projects combined with continuous improvement in technology, investment in modern production lines particularly for oriental medicines, TRAPHACO has created reputation products with good scientific meaning, good treatment results and can be competed in the market bringing the Company with turnover of hundreds of billions VND such as Hoat huyet duong nao, Boganic, Didicera….

Especially, the year 2008 has been marked with a significant milestone when 8 million stocks of TRAPHACO were officially listed at HCM Securities under TRA code.  With the results gained, TRAPHACO stocks are considered as a “strong ones with general strength created from products to trademark”.

To the year 2009, in the context of unstable economy, with the determination of gaining achievements to celebrate 10th year the Company was equitized, a production and business plan with total turnover of VND 773 billion (in which VND 530 billion gained from TRAPHACO products, rising by 24.7% compared to that of 2008) and an increase in profit of 20% compared to that of 2008 has been formulated. With experience gained during the previous time and a strong determination of all staffs and workers, TRAPHACO believes that the set out plan will be well fulfilled.

In the year-end Conference, MA. Vu Thi Thuan - Head of Board of Directors and General Director, on behalf of the employer, signed a collective labor agreement with the head of the Company Trade Union.

At the end of the Conference, staffs and workers of the Company has contributed VND 100,000,000 to the Fund for building houses of gratitude for staffs and workers working in the transportation sector. This action has demonstrated the mutual love and affection which has been seen as a traditionally nice feature of TRAPHACO.
